Meaningful And Important Questions To Ask Yourself At The End of Each And Every Day

In today’s busy world many people strive for business and financial success, high performance and personal achievement. Many of my private life coaching and mentoring clients work with me because they want to achieve more with their lives and be better at all they do.

I am the same. I want those things also. I am and always have been an achiever and see myself as a lifelong learner. I intentionally step into each day seeing myself being an even better version of myself than I was the previous day.

However, ‘achievement’ isn’t everything!

I learned the hard way over the years that achievement doesn’t mean anything to you if you don’t have your inner peace, well being, fulfilment, contentment and happiness too. Achievements may be important to you, but so is living, laughing, and loving.

Asking yourself the following questions every evening can help to keep you on track:

Important Questions to ask yourself each and every day:

For true and meaningful personal growth ask yourself the same set of following questions every evening with regard to these three areas of your life: a) work/career/business b) home/family life/relationships and c) your ‘play and passion and interests’ life ie what you do for you!

You may find writing down your answers helpful. I personally ask myself these questions every evening and write down my answers in a journal I keep near my bed.

What one thing stands out as being the BEST thing about today?

What 3 things do I feel GOOD about or proud of achieving today?

What did I ENJOY today?

What COULD I have enjoyed today (or enjoyed more)?

What did I LEARN today?

What have I GIVEN today?

What do I need to STOP doing as I move into tomorrow?

What do I need to KEEP doing as I move into tomorrow?

What do I need to START doing as I move into tomorrow?

One sentence that sums up today is: …………………………………………………………………………………

And if you want to take your reflection a bit deeper, ask yourself:

Did I live enough today?

Did I laugh enough today?

Did I give love today?

Did I open my heart wide to receive love today?

Did I experience joy today?

Did I have fun today?

Did I live today with gratitude?

Did I live today with kindness?

Was I fully present in all my thoughts and actions?

Did I make a difference in someone’s life?

In what way can  I move into tomorrow and be an even better version of my true self?

And finally, set your intention to have a great tomorrow by forming three Empowering Affirmations

To  make affirmations effective (an affirmation is a positive statement in the present tense)  say the affirmations out loud and feel the ‘feeling’ behind the words:

My Three Empowering Affirmations for a great tomorrow are:

(For example,  I DESERVE to be happy….. I open my arms wide to opportunity and to learning….  I  have faith and trust my own voice as I move into my new day….)

1…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

2……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

3……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Intentionally setting empowering affirmations and answering the reflective questions I have shared with you on a daily basis is a powerful way of ensuring your continuous personal growth and holding yourself accountable for that growth.  If these questions have resonated with you  I invite you to share this Blog post with your connections and friends.
